Picasso stone, also known as Picasso jasper, is a type of metamorphic limestone, not a true jasper. It's characterized by its unique black and white (or other color) patterns that resemble abstract art, which is why it's named after Pablo Picasso. These patterns are formed by iron oxides within the stone as a result of heat and pressure during its formation
